We collect information you provide directly, information created as you use the platform, and information needed to operate features like AI booking and reminders.

• Account & shop details: your name, shop name, email address, and phone number.
• Client & booking data: appointments, services, preferences, notes, and visit history you or your clients create.
• Communications: calls, texts, and chats handled by the AI receptionist on your behalf, including transcripts and summaries.
• Payment information: processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers on our servers.
• Usage data: device, browser, and interaction data used to keep the product secure and reliable.

How We Use Information

• Provide and operate the platform — booking, reminders, CRM, and automated follow-ups.
• Power AI features such as the receptionist, smart scheduling, and client memory.
• Send transactional messages (confirmations, reminders) and, where permitted, marketing you can opt out of.
• Protect against fraud, abuse, and security threats, and comply with legal obligations.
• Improve features and reliability using aggregated, de-identified analytics.

Text Messaging (SMS) & Mobile Information

When you provide a mobile number and opt in, SharpCuts AI (and the barbershop you booked with) may send you text messages such as appointment confirmations, reminders, reschedule and cancellation notices, replies from the AI booking assistant, and — only if you separately opt in — occasional promotions. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message; reply HELP for help, or email contact@sharpcutsai.com. Opting in to text messages is not a condition of booking or of any purchase. Consent for appointment-related texts and consent for promotional texts are collected and stored separately, and marketing texts are never sent on the basis of transactional consent.

No mobile information — including your phone number and your SMS opt-in and consent data — is sold, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. We share this information only with the service providers that help us deliver messages (for example, our SMS provider), and only for the purpose of sending the messages you asked for. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties.

AI Processing

Some features use artificial intelligence to answer calls and messages, suggest bookings, and summarize client history. AI output can be imperfect and is designed to keep you informed and in control. See our AI Disclosure for details on how these features work and their limitations.

How We Share Information

• Service providers: hosting, email delivery, payment processing, and similar vendors bound by confidentiality and data-protection terms.
• Legal & safety: when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and property of SharpCuts AI, our customers, or others.
• Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
• We do not sell your personal information. Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in/consent data are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes (see Text Messaging & Mobile Information above).

Data Retention

We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You can request deletion of your data as described below.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
